Senior Accountant at Fathom Holdings Inc.

Position Title:  Senior Accountant

Summary

Own preparing timely, complete, and accurate monthly and quarterly consolidating balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss analysis for internal and external reporting, including audit preparation and SEC reporting. Maintain strong internal financial controls and business unit compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA credentials
  • Five plus years of overall general accounting experience (ideally minimum of three years in public accounting)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of key financial statements and general ledger accounting
  • Experience with designing and maintaining strong internal financial controls
  • Familiarity with SEC reporting 
  • Must be proactive and able to excel in a dynamic environment 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with both internal and external parties 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ideally, with NetSuite
  • Ability to manage priorities while working under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Strong work principles with a high level of ethics and integrity
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills plus keen attention to detail
  • Supervisory experience a plus
  • Ideally, experience with ERP system implementations

Essential Functions

  • Prepare accurate weekly and bi-weekly payrolls on a timely basis.
  • Validate payroll data, such as commissions and bonus data, and ensure that they are properly approved.
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processes and system to ensure timely and accurate
  • Prepare consolidating balance sheet account reconciliations and comprehensive P&L variation analyses
  • Assist in managing external auditors’ requests during quarterly reviews and year-end financial audits
  • Prepare bank and payroll reconciliations
  • Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
  • Communicate and prepare concise, meaningful financial reports and analyses
  • Provide support on system implementation projects
  • Assist with process improvements of policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Other projects and initiatives as required
